First New Build Hyatt Place Hotel Opens in Malta, New York

MALTA, N.Y.- August 14, 2008 - Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Malta Hospitality, LLC, and InterMountain Management, LLC today announce the opening of Hyatt Place Saratoga/Malta, marking New York State’s first Hyatt Place and the country’s first ground-up Hyatt Place hotel.
Hyatt Place complements Hyatt’s full service brands by combining contemporary design with innovative services and amenities to create an atmosphere of casual hospitality.

Hyatt Place Saratoga/Malta, which is owned by Malta Hospitality, LLC and operated by InterMountain Management, LLC, is located at 20 State Farm Place and ideally situated near historic downtown Saratoga Springs, the world-renowned Saratoga Thoroughbred Race Course and Saratoga Performing Arts Center. For added convenience, Hyatt Place Saratoga/Malta is also just a short drive from Albany, New York’s capital, and the Albany International Airport.

Hyatt Place Saratoga/Malta will be under the leadership of General Manager Bill Gomez and Director of Sales Michele Neyer.
In his role, Gomez, a 22-year hospitality industry veteran, will be directly responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, including overseeing the hotel’s 40 associates and ensuring guests encounter the purposeful service for which Hyatt Place is known.
Gomez will be joined by Michele Neyer, director of sales, who will be responsible for providing sales service and support to travelers and meeting planners frequenting the Saratoga Springs and greater Albany area.
