Appoints Solis Resorts & Hotels as the Operator

ATLANTA, April 30, 2008 - On-target for an autumn 2008 opening, The Palmyra Resort & Spa announced that premier management company Solis Hotels & Resorts is set to operate the exquisite, Caribbean retreat to be known as Solis The Palmyra Resort & Spa.

Launched by legendary hotelier and former president of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company Horst Schulze, Solis Resorts & Hotels is a collection of resorts, hotels and residences offering a convergence of unparalleled designs, settings and experiences. Luxury "the Solis way" goes well beyond the superbly appointed accommodations to reach Schulze's benchmark of elevated service.

"In essence, Solis The Palmyra will redefine luxury living and luxury travel in the Caribbean based on input from world travelers and guests," said Schulze.

Set on 16 oceanfront acres on the grounds of a former Jamaican plantation within the elite enclave of historic Rose Hall, Solis The Palmyra offers 299 beautifully appointed rooms, suites, penthouses and villas with full kitchens, cable HDTV and high speed internet. Surrounded by three championship golf courses, Solis The Palmyra boasts the added indulgence of Jamaica's first branded ESPA destination spa, designed by global spa guru Susan Harmsworth, CEO and founder of the spa company.

Two swimming pools overlook the sea, swimming cove and private white sand beach, while dining choices include four restaurants ranging from white- tablecloth to beachside casual dining, as well as a Gourmet Shop.

The proposed US$1.8 billion, 4-5 star Resort & Casino is situated in Rose Hall, St. James.

ROSE HALL, JAMAICA (April 23, 2008) - Prime Minister Golding announced yesterday in Parliament that his Government has entered into an agreement with the developers of The Palmyra Resort & Spa at Rose Hall to construct the island's first casino hotel.

The proposed US$1.8 billion, 4-5 star Resort & Casino is situated in Rose Hall, St. James directly across the street from three championship golf courses on the island of Jamaica. The property is located on approximately 65 acres, which includes nearly one kilometer of beach front property. The Resort & Casino enjoys the extraordinary feature of being less than a 15 minute drive, on a brand new 4 lane highway (with median), from the Montego Bay International Airport. The project shall consist of the main building, a sixteen story structure containing 1,500 keys, a 75,000 square foot Casino and Sports Book, a state of the art discotheque, assorted meeting space, including a divisible ballroom, an outdoor function area, retail space, front desk lobby, a spectacular lobby lounge overlooking the Caribbean Ocean, bars, restaurants, kid's club, health club, spa, back of house, etc.

In addition to the main building the project shall include a marina, a shopping center complete with its own "Restaurant's Row", a Dolphin Bay, 4 secluded beaches, an arts fair market, the "Blue Mountain" Water Entertainment Complex, an iconic 2,500 seat water amphitheatre, as well as many other premier attractions and features. The project will also be connected, by way of a pedestrian overpass spanning across the freeway, to a 2,500 person capacity convention center, committed to by the government of Jamaica. "I can confirm that we are currently in negotiation with several major, hotel and casino brands, which recognize the opportunity that Jamaica presents," said Robert T. Trotta, developer of The Palmyra Resort & Spa.

The development will encompass a 10 acre ‘Blue Mountain' water and entertainment complex with slides, lazy rivers and lagoons; a dolphin bay marine attraction; a water amphitheater for concerts and entertainment that seats 2,500 people as well as a world class marina. Additionally, the multilayered resort project will offer a variety of restaurants, nightclubs, entertainment and shopping experiences throughout. Said Robert T. Trotta, developer of The Palmyra Resort & Spa, "The project will prove to be the "tipping point" for unprecedented growth in both tourism and property values in Jamaica. The next decade will come to be known in Jamaican history as the moment in time when Jamaica established itself as "The Tourist and Financial Capital of the Caribbean".

Over the last 5 years, the area of Rose Hall at the center of Jamaica's ‘Gold Coast' has experienced explosive growth, turning the elite enclave into a veritable tourist mecca with several high-end hotels, three championship golf courses and a luxury shopping village. The new project firmly places Rose Hall on the map as the new ‘hot-spot' for the in-crowd to reside and play. Said Dennis Constanzo, President of The Palmyra Resort & Spa; "The casino is just a fraction of the investment. We want to build a world-class destination, which will result in the creation of thousands and thousands of jobs." said Constanzo.

According to Constanzo, with the announcement of the first casino in Jamaican history being directly next door to the Palmyra; "I see property values set to explode, resulting in nothing but joy for our existing owners and very little time for our future buyers to take advantage of the opportunity to gobble up our remaining residences. As such, we expect a quick sellout of our remaining residences."

Said legendary hotelier Horst Schulze, President and CEO of Solis Hotels & Resorts, which is the management company of The Palmyra Resort & Spa, about the announcement; "This is spectacular news! Casino entertainment will be a ‘Number One' amenity for our guests. It will provide a huge promotional advantage that will place Jamaica at the top of the list of Caribbean destinations and bring additional, high-end tourists to the island."
