Keith Battaglia Appointed Director of Sales & Marketing at the Montauk

Montauk, Long Island, New York, May 2008 � Montauk Yacht Club Resort & Marina has announced the appointment of Keith Battaglia as director of sales & marketing for the historic property.  Linda Cerra, general manager, made the announcement.

�I am so pleased to formally welcome Keith to our team at Montauk Yacht Club,� stated Ms. Cerra.  �He brings extensive experience within the Long Island and New York markets to his new position, in addition to a strong familiarity with our property.�

Keith Battaglia was previously the director of sales & marketing for Glen Cove Mansion Hotel and Conference Center, located in Glen Cove, New York.  In this position he was an active part of the team that successfully repositioned the historic Long Island Gold Coast mansion as a first rate hotel, meetings and events facility.

Prior to this, Mr. Battaglia was the director of sales for The Northland Inn of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, near Minneapolis.  Under his leadership, the property experienced tremendous success in group sales, achieving a 100% increase in booking pace year-over-year.
Battaglia has also served as director of sales for The Chattanoogan, an urban resort situated in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee.  He held the same position for the former World Trade Institute Conference Center, now the Downtown Conference Center, located in lower Manhattan, New York City.

Mr. Battaglia was part of the opening team for the AT&T Learning Center in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.  Earlier in his career he served as marketing manager for the opening of the JP Morgan Conference & Training Facility, located on Wall Street in New York City. A native of New York, Mr. Battaglia earned his bachelor's degree from Boston University.  He has relocated to Montauk.
