Konover, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Simon Konover Companies,
Konover Properties Corporation, has announced that James Wakim has joined
the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Wakim is responsible for the corporate function of the Simon Konover
Companies and has overall responsibility for its five divisions; Konover
Hotel Corporation, Konover Commercial Corporation, Konover Residential
Corporation, SK Properties Development Corporation and SIKON Construction
Services, LLC.
Prior to joining Konover Properties, Mr. Wakim was a partner in the
Capital Markets Group of the Boston-based law firm of Brown Rudnick Berlack
Israel LLP.
Mr. Wakim graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Connecticut
in 1979 and received his Juris Doctor, With Honors, from the University
of Connecticut School of Law in 1982. He is a member of the national
honor societies of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi.
In his announcement, Mr. Konover said, �Jim is a significant addition

Mr. Wakim currently serves as the Connecticut State Director for the
International Council of Shopping Centers (�ICSC�). He served for several
years on the Executive Committee of the Real Estate Section of the Connecticut
Bar Association. Mr. Wakim was recognized in New York Magazine in
2007 as one of the best real estate lawyers in the New York Metropolitan
area and in Woodward/White Inc.�s The Best Lawyers in America for Real
Estate Law. Mr. Wakim resides in Glastonbury, Connecticut with his
wife, Donna, and daughter, Giulia.
