Perez will oversee all operational, sales and administrative aspects of the hotel, and begins his position in Punta Gorda with 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He started his career in 1989 achieving progressive advancement within all aspects of the business. Perez has been employed with Burkhard Corporation for seven years overseeing the company�s New England properties. Prior to working for Burkhard, Perez has managed properties within the Hyatt, Hilton, Starwood and Marriott chains.

Perez, who will reside in Punta Gorda, has a history of being highly involved in his community; he has served on the Massachusetts Lodging Association�s Government Affairs Committee, and was a City Councilor for the City of Revere, MA. Perez holds CHA and CRDE Designations from the American Hotel/Motel Educational Institute. Perez attended Salem State College, where he studied Marketing. 

About the Wyvern Hotel
The Wyvern Hotel, which is scheduled to open in October, will feature 63 guest rooms, a lushly landscaped rooftop swimming pool, meeting space, Lulu Restaurant, and rooftop cocktail lounge.
