Jacqueline L. Edwards Named Director of Sales & Marketing
The Bohemian Hotel Asheville Biltmore Village in Asheville, NC
Asheville, N.C. (June 23, 2008) - The Kessler Collection's newest luxury boutique hotel in Asheville, N.C., The Bohemian Hotel Asheville Biltmore Village, announces that Jacqueline L. Edwards has been named Director of Sales & Marketing at the 104-room property. The hotel is scheduled to open in December.
In this role, Edwards will oversee all sales and marketing initiatives for the property's many outlets including meeting and special event space as well the Red Stag Grill and lounge, Grand Bohemian Art Gallery, Poseidon Spa, guestrooms and more.
Edwards comes to the property most recently from her role as director at Rigsbee Hall Ventures, LLC in Durham, N.C. There, she wrote the business and marketing plan for the company and played a vital role in the planning, selling and operating of a 3500 sq. ft. start-up event venue.
Prior to that, she was the director of sales with the Durham Catering Company, where she was responsible for the increased profitability of the company and grew sales there 40% in less than two years.

Edwards has previously held the titles of senior executive recruiter at Bruce Edwards and Associates in Durham and in her 14 years with Ritz-Carlton and Marriott, was Director of Sales & Marketing at The Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner in Tysons Corner, Va., Director of Business Evaluation at the Washington D.C. Cluster Hotels, Director of Sales & Event Management at the University of Maryland Conference Center in College Park, Md., senior sales manager at Marriott's California Desert Resorts in Los Angeles and Rancho Mirage, Ca., and sales manager at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott.
Edwards graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
