Motel Enterprises and Benson�s, Inc. Break Ground on the
SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Watkinsville, Georgia

| Watkinsville, Georgia - April 9, 2008 - Motel Enterprises
and Benson�s, Inc. break ground on the SpringHill Suites by Marriott, Oconee
County�s first hotel.
The future site is located on Daniells Bridge Road, off the Oconee Connector and Highway 316. The newest Motel Enterprises� venture will be the first of its kind in the area with a true suite concept. The 100 oversized rooms will be split between one king and two queen beds, providing plenty of space for guests. Separate areas for eating, sleeping and relaxing within the individual hotel rooms are part of the SpringHill Suites experience, as are in-room microwaves, mini-refrigerators and coffee services. Guests also will receive complimentary Suite Seasons breakfast. Construction should last approximately 14 months. The general contractor for the Oconee County hotel is Foster & Company, based in Duluth. The hotel will generate $130,000 annually in taxes, create 30 new jobs, and have an estimated economic impact to the community of $4.7 million. �SpringHill Suites is going to be a great venture for our company and a real asset to the community,� said Scott Norris, director of Sales and Marketing for Motel Enterprises. �Its close proximity to Highway 316 and the exploding Oconee business landscape make it an optimum property.� Founded in Northeast Georgia, Benson's, Inc. has been a supplier of quality bakery products since 1918. The son of the founder, Ed Benson is the retired president of Benson�s and founder of Motel Enterprises. His son, Larry Benson, is the current president of the two corporations. Will Benson, president of the motel division, and Reese Benson, assistant vice president for facilities, represent the fourth generation of Bensons to guide the organization. Benson�s has established a reputation over the years with quality products and services that provide great value to the consumer. Motel Enterprises currently owns and operates the Athens Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Hilton Garden Inn.
