Appoints Marc Bauer as General Manager

Asheville, N.C. (April 8, 2008) - The newest luxury boutique hotel in Asheville, N.C., The Bohemian Hotel at Biltmore Village, today announces the appointment of Marc Bauer as general manager of the 104-room Kessler luxury hotel, slated to open December 2008. 

Bauer brings over 21 years of industry experience to the hotel and was most recently the general manager of another Kessler luxury property, the historic 138-room Casa Monica Hotel in St. Augustine, Fla. There, he oversaw all room, meeting, and food and beverage operations, including the award-winning 95 Cordova Restaurant, Café Cordova, Cobalt Lounge, and extensive meeting and special event space. During his tenure there, the hotel was awarded "Best Wedding Reception Site" by The Knot Magazine in 2007. 

Richard C. Prior to his role at the Casa Monica Hotel, Bauer was the managing director at the Brasstown Valley Resort, a 134-room, 503-acre resort in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia. His extensive past experience also includes his roles as vice president of hotel operations and sales and marketing with Coral Hospitality in south Florida; managing partner of the Vero Beach Hotel and Club/Palm Court Resort; general manager of the Inn on Fifth in Naples, Fla. and assistant general manager of the Edgewater Beach Hotel in Naples, Fla.
