Stuart Chase Appointed General Manager at
Swissotel Grand Efes Izmir, Turkey

| ZURICH, March 2008 � The new General Manager at Swissôtel
Grand Efes, Izmir is Stuart Chase. Prior to this appointment he was based
in Bahrain as General Manager of the Gulf Hotel & Gulf International
Convention & Exhibition Centre. Before moving to the Middle East,
he was Group General Manager based in Zambia for one of the region�s leading
Destination Management Companies.
Between 1999 and 2005 Stuart Chase held senior positions within Shangri-la Hotels and Resorts, initially as Hotel Manager of the China World Hotel in Beijing, before later being promoted to General Manager of the Shangri-La Hotel Changchun, China. Thereafter he was appointed as opening General Manager for the Shangri-La Hotel Zhongshan, in Guangdong. From 1985 through to 1999, S. Chase, a British national, worked in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Ghana as General Manager of various leading deluxe properties including the Lord Charles Hotel in Cape Town and the Elephant Hills Resort in Victoria Falls.
