won the HSMAI’s Adrian Gold Award for Search Marketing Strategy in the
“Hotel – Individual Property” category in the 51st Adrian Awards Competition.
Out of the 1,300 sites submitted for the Adrian Awards this year, www.grandvelas.com
was judged as one of the best for Web Marketing by expert hospitality,
travel, tourism, and media professionals based on the internet marketing
strategies used to promote the resort website.
Milestone used the latest internet marketing techniques including several Web 2.0 strategies such as Online Videos, RSS feeds, Social Media optimization to drive a phenomenal return on investment for the property. The return on investment for the property website in its first year of being live is close to 25X and continues to climb as several of the strategies in Web 2.0 arena continue to play out and drive additional revenue to the property.
Milestone developed a new website for the resort in early 2007 to reflect the resort’s luxurious and relaxing atmosphere. The website targeted their key market - primarily leisure vacationers, honeymooners, spa travelers, destination wedding guests, and corporate travelers. Once Milestone began promoting the website, visitors to the site increased 200% within three days of launching the new website.
