of Pikes Peak Region Boys & Girls Club;
"Hometown Hospitality Caring for our Communities" Benefits Kids in Colorado


The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, February 2008 - Laura Neumann, Benchmark Hospitality's vice president and general manager for Cheyenne Mountain Resort of Colorado Springs, Colorado, has been elected chairman of the board for the Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region.  Ms. Neumann will be responsible for overseeing the activities and fund raising initiatives of the Pikes Peak Region chapter of the national Boys & Girls Club organization. 

"I'm just thrilled to play such an active role in this wonderful organization that benefits children," stated Ms. Neumann.  "It is important work that the Boys & Girls Club does and we at Cheyenne Mountain Resort, and our management company, Benchmark Hospitality International, want to support this work in any way we can."  Ms. Neumann continued with, "Our employees are always on the move in the communities they call home - continually embracing the challenge to find ways of participating in spirit and deed. The highly admired Boys & Girls Club organization has for 120 years been helping young people -- especially those from disadvantaged circumstances -- realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.  A member of the board since 2003, Ms. Neumann was most recently the Chapter's vice chair as well as chair of the Resource Development Committee. In addition, she has been instrumental in making Cheyenne Mountain Resort an important supporter of the Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region. Not only has the resort provided the venue for fund raisers and other activities, but resort staff have volunteered their time and participated in Boys & Girls Club events. 

Ms. Neumann's and Cheyenne Mountain Resort's support of the Boys & Girls Club reflects the Hometown Hospitality Caring for our Communities outreach initiatives of the resort's operator, Benchmark Hospitality International.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region has three locations where children 5 to 18 years old receive character and leadership development, education and career exploration, health and life skills, art and cultural awareness, and sports, fitness and recreational opportunities.
