Former Daniele Hotel in Clayton, Missouri Receiving $13 Million
Renovation and New Flag - Hotel Indigo
.

ST. LOUIS -- February 8, 2008 - Owner CPC Hospitality has chosen to re-flag the Daniele Hotel at 216 N. Meramec Ave. in downtown Clayton, Mo. as a boutique, select service Hotel Indigo. CPC, the hotel development/management division of longtime St. Louis developer Conrad Properties Corp., purchased the hotel last fall.

Hotel Indigo is franchised by the InterContinental Hotel Group based in Atlanta, Ga.  The brand is quickly expanding throughout North America, with 12 locations open and more than 60 under development or in its development pipeline.  Formed in 2004, Hotel Indigo is considered the industry's first branded boutique hotel, combining the conveniences and consistencies of a brand hotel with the design cachet and service personality of a boutique at an affordable price.

CPC has selected St. Louis-based Rosemann & Associates, P.C. to provide architecture and interior design services for the $13 million renovation which will dramatically alter the buildings façade by adding a fifth story to the four-story structure and a new entrance. Room count will increase from 84 to approximately 120.  The transformation will also include completely gutting the interior, updating all common and amenity areas and adding a lounge called the Golden Bean and Phi Bar.  G S & S, Inc. will be the general contractor, with Conrad serving as developer.

Hotel Indigo has developed a wonderful program that allows interior designers and architects to remain creative while keeping hallmark items in each hotel, said Mickey Warriner, IIDA, lead interior designer for Rosemann. A major design goal is to create a new identity for the building while staying true to the existing structure.

We are programming Hotel Indigo for both business travelers and the in-town recreational user in search of a relaxing escape in the heart of vibrant downtown Clayton, added Kurt Furlong, CPC senior vice president of sales and marketing.  Furlong said the hotel is projected to open in the first quarter 2009 and will employ an estimated 50 people.
