|CHICAGO, IL - February 26, 2008 –
Flyte Systems, the leading
provider of airport
flight information displays and digital signage content for the hospitality,
signage, convention centers and related businesses, announced it has
partnered with digital
signage solution provider, Digital Minds Inc., to install FlyteBoard,
its real-time airport travel
information display screen, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention and
Conference Center in Rosemont, IL. The partnership enables the companies
to increase the scope of information they provide to conference attendees,
expands revenue generating opportunities, and enhances the service offerings
at the Stephens Center.
“Digital Minds, Inc. is an innovator in the digital signage field that continues to maintain a competitive lead over other providers by delivering flight information to clients,” said Brian Reynolds, president of Flyte Systems. “The TouchQuest FlyteBoard implementation at the Stephens Center marks another successful partnership for Flyte Systems with an innovative digital signage company to deliver its services.”
Convention Center Provides Live Airline Information
“The addition of Digital Minds’ TouchQuest FlyteBoard with real-time flight information enhances our visitors’ experience and ensures the Donald E. Stephens Convention and Conference Center is at the forefront of integrated technology in the industry,” said Stephens Center General Manager, Christopher R. Stephens. With its location near Chicago O’Hare Airport and within walking distance to several high-end hotels, the Stephens Center hosts over 1.5 million people each the year.
“We are in a new age of digital communications in a world ruled by the clock,” said Joseph P. Fiduccia, president and CEO of Digital Minds Inc. “I see strong demand for the FlyteBoard solution because travelers value a service that enables them to view real-time airport travel information and confirm the status of their flight prior to departure.” Fiduccia notes that integrating FlyteBoard with TouchQuest provides a split-screen solution where a portion of the display can also be allocated for revenue-generating sponsorship opportunities. “We look forward to integrating with FlyteBoard at many future installations. No other company provides this service today.”
FlyteBoard, developed by Flyte Systems, is a wall, floor or ceiling mounted high-definition, flat panel screen that the Stephens Center installed in its lobby area to provide attendees with ‘glance-and-go’ convenience for confident travel planning. What sets FlyteSystems applications apart from other PC-based systems is its ability to post accurate real-time airline flight arrival and departure information, not FAA-regulated scheduled departure times that do not list delays caused by:
