He will also be responsible for developing, coordinating and administering policies and procedures, directing department heads, monitoring budget and the quality of Casa Ybel�s products and services for maximum owner and guest satisfaction.

Ramirez began in the housekeeping department at Casa Ybel in 1995, with his last previous opposition being Resort manager and Director of Operations and revenue Management. 

In his new position, he succeeds Awilda Rivera, who has accepted a position with another Coral Hospitality property, Villas Caleton in the Dominican Republic.

About Casa Ybel:

Casa Ybel�s history began with the Reverend George Barnes whose boat ran aground off Sanibel Island in 1889. Grateful to have been stranded on such a lush place, he and his family claimed 480 acres on the Gulf of Mexico and built a home on Sanibel as well as Sanibel�s first church. He also built a cottage for his two daughters, which, eventually evolved into a fashionable 30-room inn and one of Sanibel�s earliest resorts known as �The Sisters�. In 1890, when his daughter Georgia married a resort guest, Edward Duncan, they built a grand Victorian home on the waterfront and named it Thistle Lodge. The Thistle Lodge quickly became a favorite of celebrities and statesman like Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. Eventually the Sister�s Inn was renamed Casa Ybel Hotel which became a full-service resort by the 1920s. 

Today, Casa Ybel remains the perfect beachfront location at which to fulfill dreams of a tropical island retreat and the Thistle Lodge has transitioned into an award-winning restaurant offering spectacular food in the grandness of the turn of the century.
