The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, October 2007 - Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Victor M. Rodriguez to the position of director of rooms for The Heldrich, located in New Brunswick, New Jersey.  Michael J. Taylor, general manager, made the announcement.

"It is with great pleasure that I announce Victor's appointment to director of rooms at The Heldrich" stated Mr. Taylor.  "He brings extensive operational and leadership experience to our property.  We look forward to his active participation as a member of our executive team."

Victor Rodriguez was previously the director of rooms for the former North Maple Inn of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, a property that Benchmark Hospitality opened and managed for over a decade.  During his tenure with the hotel, it received several guest service honors, including the coveted Four Diamond Award.

Mr. Rodriguez also served in the position of rooms division manager for North Maple Inn.  He has held the titles of front office manager, executive housekeeper and as evening manager.

During his tenure with Benchmark, Mr. Rodriguez assumed national staff support responsibilities, assisting the company's properties across the United States with operational and service standards support.

Prior to joining North Maple Inn, Rodriguez was front desk manager for the landmark New York hotel, the Jumeirah Essex House.  He began his career in hospitality working in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility for the Parsippany Hilton Hotel of Parsippany, New Jersey. 

Victor Rodriquez has served in the New Jersey Air National Guard, including involvement with Presidential Detail in 2002.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Rutgers University.  He and his family reside in Dover, New Jersey.
