Renee Wilhite Appointed Director of Sales and Marketing
for the Chateau on the Lake Resort,
Spa and Convention Center, Branson, Missouri
|BRANSON, Mo., -- Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa and Convention
Center (www.chateauonthelake.com) welcomes Renee Wilhite as Director of
Sales and Marketing for Branson’s only AAA Four Diamond resort, which is
owned and managed by Springfield, Mo.-based John Q. Hammons Hotels &
Resorts (www.jqhhotels.com), the nation’s leading independent builder,
developer, owner and manager of upscale, full-service hotels, resorts and
Wilhite’s 20-year career in hotel sales and marketing has included work at such full-service brands as Crowne Plaza, Hyatt, Hilton, Renaissance and at well-known properties such as the Stoneleigh Hotel in Dallas and the Saint Anthony in San Antonio. She previously served as the first corporate Director of Sales & Marketing for American Property Management Corp., overseeing 23 four- and five-star properties throughout the United States. In 1997, Wilhite was named the worldwide Director of Sales of the Year for her work at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Branson, and was instrumental in the transition of the 500-room Crowne Plaza to the Radisson brand.
Originally from Springfield, Missouri, Wilhite attended Missouri State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel & Restaurant Administration in 1989. She later completed Marriott’s management training program in Orlando, Florida.

Wilhite’s new role encompasses convention and leisure travel sales at the 301-room luxury, European-style resort and convention center through the execution of marketing campaigns, customer relation initiatives and special promotions. She directs the sales staff in their efforts to introduce the Chateau to new clients and develops pricing and sales strategies for all revenue streams.
“Renee’s experience in the Branson market and her enthusiasm for the Chateau has made her a wonderful addition to our team,” according to Stephen Marshall, vice president and general manager of the Chateau. “We look forward to her leadership in sales and marketing as we embark on our second decade as Branson’s most recognized resort, spa and convention center,” he said.
