In 2005, he was named Senior Vice president of Operations at The Kessler Collection, where he oversaw all daily operational functions at each Kessler Collection property. About his return to the helm of the Grand Bohemian Hotel, Newmark remarks that, �when the position became available again, I just couldn't resist the temptation to come home to the Grand Bohemian and to my true passion of running a world-class hotel."

Newmark�s hospitality career has spanned over three decades, including 28 years combined general manager and corporate operations positions.

When the Grand Bohemian Hotel was affiliated with the Westin chain, Newmark was instrumental in leading the property to receiving Westin's "Best in Brand" award in overall guest satisfaction for four years in a row. In addition through his leadership the luxury property was designated one of the Best Hotels in the World through Conde Nast Traveler and one of the World�s Best Places to Stay through Travel & Leisure Magazine.
