COLUMBIA, Md., Nov. 27, 2007 - MICROS Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:
MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality
and retail industries, is pleased to announce that Pechanga Development
Corporation has selected the MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution for its Pechanga
Resort & Casino in Temecula, California. The implementation for the
522-room, Four Diamond Resort was completed in August 2007. The selected
modules include OPERA Property Management System (PMS), OPERA Sales &
Catering System (S&C), OPERA Revenue Management System (RMS), OPERA
Web Suite, and the OPERA Gaming Interface.
When Pechanga Resort & Casino opened in 2002, it was the largest Indian-owned, Las Vegas style gaming property in California. The property has utilized MICROS' 9700 Hospitality Management System (HMS) since its opening. Today, Pechanga Resort & Casino is one of the largest POS installations in Southern California with over 15 outlets. The enhanced interface between MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution and MICROS 9700 HMS is offering Pechanga superior guest service features linking its hotel and restaurant operations. The OPERA Enterprise Solution provides seamless integration among key hotel systems. OPERA Sales & Catering (S&C) and OPERA Property Management System (PMS) share a single database, allowing users access to identical inventory, customer account information, rate availability, and controls throughout the enterprise. Interfaced with OPERA S&C and PMS, the OPERA Revenue Management System (RMS) offers Pechanga the tools to analyze the value of particular group business and to maximize its revenue. OPERA Web Suite allows Pechanga to maximize bookings and to increase revenue by linking guests, corporate accounts, and travel agents directly into its PMS and S&C system. Pechanga is also the first to implement the enhanced OPERA Gaming 2-way Interface to Aristocrat OASIS Player Tracking System, which allows authorized staff to request and award comps, monitor and control comp expenses, and provide secure access to real-time details on guest expenditures, stay histories, and gaming statistics. "Collecting, maintaining, and analyzing all guest-related data in a single database was a major factor in our selection of the MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution, which will allow Pechanga access to guest data stored in the same tables across multiple applications," stated Greg Sheets, Vice President of Hotel Operations for Pechanga Resort & Casino.
