analysis to its list of national hospitality consulting services. David
J. Sangree, MAI, ISHC, President of Hotel & Leisure Advisors, welcomes
the addition of Mr. Eric B. Hansen, AIA, ISHC as the Director of Development
Services.
Mr. Hansen is responsible for the firm�s project development analysis services. A project development analysis (PDA) is a professional consulting service that provides necessary and specific information to aid developers in making decisions prior to the commitment phase of a proposed new construction or renovation project. For a new construction PDA, H&LA performs detailed project program preparation, zoning and jurisdictional due diligence research, conceptual site graphics and cost to build analysis. A renovation PDA analyzes an existing facility and develops a recommended scope of work to meet the project�s renovation goals. The project development analysis is a written, detailed complement to the feasibility and market studies the firm already performs for hospitality projects. The information gleaned is used to communicate the vision of the project to lenders, equity investors and design professionals prior to their engagement. The information also details the specific jurisdictional protocols necessary for development and identifies potential issues that will need to be addressed. Mr. Hansen�s expertise is in the development, design and architecture of hospitality facilities. He offers more than 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has been the responsible architect on more than 65 hotels and conference centers, including full-service, extended-stay, select-service and economy scale brands. In 2002, Mr. Hansen was invited to join the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC) as one of only eight architects in the ISHC membership. Mr. Hansen has worked with various major hotel company corporate offices including Marriott and Hilton and has extensive knowledge of brand criteria. In addition to project development analyses, Mr. Hansen also performs
appraisals, market analyses, feasibility analyses, impact analyses, and
expert witness testimony. As a 15-year architect with a foundation in financial
management, appraisal theory, and hospitality consulting, Mr. Hansen brings
well rounded expertise to various H&LA assignments and assists H&LA
clients with their pre-development, consulting, and valuation needs.
