ATLANTA, GA, September 21, 2007 Georgia Institute of Technology and Revenue Analytics are hosting leaders from the transportation, hospitality, manufacturing, retail and distribution industries who will share insights for boosting revenue at the third annual Revenue Management and Price Optimization Conference at the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center October 2 3 in Atlanta.  Speakers include Jim Whitehurst, former COO of Delta Air Lines, Rick Campana, VP of corporate marketing with UPS, and Chuck Neville, executive director of finance with General Motors Service and Parts Operations.

Revenue management and analytics-based price optimization are the hottest topics in business today, said Robert Cross, conference co-chair and chairman and CEO of Revenue Analytics.  In todays constantly changing economic environment, driving revenue is not necessarily about building new products or selling more, it is about increasing the revenue flow from existing customers and products.  Our conference will show how to do this.   Cross stated that attendees will receive an interactive revenue management experience with leading industry practitioners that addresses driving profitable revenue growth through Revenue Management and Price Optimization.

Dr. Mark Ferguson, conference co-chair and associate professor of operations management at Georgia Tech, explained that attendees will learn how to apply the latest revenue management principles from experts in a wide range of industries.  The speakers at this years conference will take attendees through the revenue management process from board room, to drawing board, to full market implementation.  Participants will gain insights that will benefit themselves, professionally, and their companies, financially.

Panels at this years Revenue Management and Price Optimization Conference will include:

  • B2B price optimization
  • Maximizing ROI for revenue management
  • Creating a revenue-focused company
  • Measuring success in pricing strategies
Revenue Management has traditionally been used by airlines and a handful of other markets for many years, said Ferguson.  Our goal at the 2008 Conference is to expand the principles and practice of Revenue Management and Pricing into non-traditional markets.  The organizing committee expects this years event to attract over 200 revenue management professionals.

The Georgia Institute of Technology and Revenue Analytics co-hosts of this years Conference, with underwriting by Revenue Analytics.  All profits from the Conference will go to Georgia Tech and be applied to fund graduate research programs focusing on price optimization and revenue management disciplines to develop new business processes and create emerging experts in the field.
