Peter Evenhuis Named Director of Sales and Marketing
for Dinah�s Garden Hotel, Palo Alto, California

PALO ALTO, CA, Sept. 20, 2007 � Dinah�s Garden Hotel has appointed Peter Evenhuis Director of Sales and Marketing for the distinctive boutique hotel that is a preferred destination for visitors to nearby Stanford University and Silicon Valley.

�I�ve always considered Dinah�s Garden Hotel to be a real gem in our community,� said Evenhuis, a Palo Alto resident. �For more than 50 years, Dinah�s has hosted discriminating travelers in a relaxing hotel that showcases the natural beauty of the area.� 

A native of the Netherlands, Evenhuis worked at the Hotel Casa 400 in Amsterdam, Netherlands and apprenticed at the Michelin Five Star Europäische Hof Hotel in Heidelberg and later worked for Hilton Hotels in Düsseldorf, both in Germany. He grew up in Rome, Italy attending the Deutsche Schule Rome and later studied at Trinity College in England. He is fluent in English, Dutch, German and Italian.

Before joining the sales team at Dinah�s Garden Hotel, Evenhuis served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Crowne Plaza Burlingame-SFO, CA where his team earned the National 2006 Eagle Award for the �Best Crowne Plaza and Resorts Sales Team USA.� He was previously General Manager of the Campbell Inn (Campbell, CA) and El Rancho Inn (Millbrae, CA). At the Hyatt Sainte Claire in San Jose, he served as opening Assistant General Manager.

Evenhuis has earned the C.H.A. (Certified Hotel Administrator) designation from the American Hotel/Motel Association. His activities past and present include: Board Member and President of the Campbell Chamber of Commerce, member of the Millbrae Downtown Redevelopment Citizens Committee, Millbrae Mayor's Civic Council, Millbrae Tourism Committee (Chairman,) Mission College Hospitality (Board Member and Instructor,) San Mateo Convention and Visitors Bureau (Board Member,) San Mateo Peninsula Hospitality Industry Council, South Bay Lodging Association (co-founder and President,) and the Rotary Club in Millbrae.
