Martin J. Joyce Appointed Director of Sales and Marketing
for The Regent Boston at Battery Wharf

FORT LAUDERDALE � September 4, 2007 � Martin J. Joyce has been appointed director of sales and marketing for Regent Hotels & Resorts� latest North American property, The Regent Boston at Battery Wharf. 

With over 20 years of experience in hotel sales, including positions at properties in Boston, Cambridge, Quincy and Hartford, Joyce will oversee sales, marketing, advertising and communications for The Regent Boston at Battery Wharf.  

�Martin�s experience in Boston and New England, coupled with his sales and marketing background, makes him a natural fit,� says Steve Hedberg, vice president of operations for Regent Hotels & Resorts.  �He understands Regent�s commitment to the highest level of luxury for all its guests, and shares our vision to make The Regent Boston at Battery Wharf one of the most vibrant destinations in the region.�

Joyce has received several awards during his professional career representing properties in the Northeast, including Chairman�s Circle, Regional Sales Leader Award, Sales Team of the Year and Regional Sales Manager of the Quarter.  He has served as director of sales and marketing for Hartford Marriott Hotels in Connecticut, and the Boston Marriott Quincy and Boston Marriott Cambridge in Massachusetts.  Most recently, he was director of sales and marketing for Cape Cod�s expansive Ocean Edge Resort and Club, and served as director of sales and marketing at the Wequassett Inn Resort and Golf Club, a Condé Nast Gold List property and AAA Four Diamond Resort.  

Located on Boston�s historic North End waterfront, The Regent Boston at Battery Wharf is the brand�s first property in the Northeast.  Upon completion in spring 2008, the property will offer the first States-side restaurant from three-star Michelin chef Guy Martin, as well as the Regent�s third Guerlain Spa.

The mixed-use development at Battery Wharf will feature 150 luxury hotel rooms, 104 hotel-serviced condominiums, a 7,500- square- foot restaurant and bar featuring waterfront views and Chef Martin�s cuisine extraordinaire, an 18,000- square foot Guerlain Spa, a valet garage, a marina and a Coast Guard Museum.
