AUSTIN, TEXAS, USA (September 25, 2007) � Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) announced today that the 2009 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC®) will be June 22-29 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif.

�Anaheim and the surrounding area is a dense location for the hospitality industry,� said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of HFTP. �It is only fitting that HITEC, the world�s largest hospitality technology exposition and conference, would be held in an area so rich with hospitality industry properties and companies.�

HITEC, produced by HFTP, offers a unique combination of top-notch hospitality technology education, led by industry peers and experts, and an unparalleled trade show showcasing the latest hospitality technology products and services from over 300 companies.

The upcoming HITEC 2008 will be held June 16-19 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas. It will include a new schedule, with the Opening Session and Welcome Reception on Monday evening; the new version of GUESTROOM 2010, a futuristic model hotel room; the Club Technology Pavilion, a central location in the exhibit hall for club-related technologies; and the FAVE Awards, which recognizes suppliers, products and solutions.
 

Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals gearing up for its 2007 Annual Convention & Tradeshow

The convention, celebrating its 55th year, includes top-notch education sessions, numerous networking opportunities and the annual business meeting for HFTP. It will be held October 17-20, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront in Jacksonville, Fla. Registration is available on HFTP�s web site.

�The education advisory council has dedicated a lot of their time the past year to provide an educational and worthwhile Annual Convention & Tradeshow for attendees,� said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of HFTP. �Their hard work is already showing with the record-breaking attendee numbers expected this year.�

HFTP recently added more rooms to the room block at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, making it the largest room block ever for an HFTP Annual Convention & Tradeshow. HFTP has secured a discounted rate at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront for attendees of the convention. To take advantage of the special rates, you must make your hotel reservations before October 1.

The convention will include education sessions from experts representing all segments of the hospitality industry. Sessions will cover topics such as the immigration debate and its impact on the club industry, strategic management processes, technology �mythbusters,� disaster planning and recovery, condo hotel accounting, I.D. theft, network security and more.

The Annual Convention & Tradeshow will also include plenty of opportunities for attendees to network with colleagues and friends. The Welcome Reception on Wednesday night will allow attendees their first visit at the exhibit hall as they network with vendors and peers. The HFTP Casino Night on Thursday night provides the chance for attendees to play Texas Hold�em, Roulette, Craps and Black Jack, while helping HFTP Scholarship and Educational Endowment programs around the world. Friday night�s President�s Evening is a black-tie optional event that includes an elegant dinner and dancing.

The annual business meeting and luncheon will be Friday, October 19 at 11:45 a.m. The meeting will give special recognition to the outgoing international board of directors and will review what HFTP has accomplished over the past year.
