Elyes Ben Brahim Named Director of Operations for
the Hard Rock Hotel in Pattaya, Thailand

26th September 2007, Singapore � HPL Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Elyes Ben Brahim as Director of Operations for its Hard Rock Hotel in Pattaya, Thailand.

Ben brings more than 21 years of hospitality experience to his new position. He joins the hotel from Bounty Cruises & Resorts, Bali, Indonesia, where he was the General Manager.

Prior to that, Ben spent a total of 17 years at Club Med Resorts in countries all over the world, including Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Italy, Croatia, Bahamas, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Maldives. The positions he held included various senior management posts at the resorts as well as at the corporate office.

The Tunisian, most affectionately known as �Big Ben� at the Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya, believes that it takes more than just a room to make a memorable stay. He lives by the motto that �it is not how much you do, but how much love you put in the doing�. Ben now makes it his mission to ensure that all guests staying at the Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya experience a fun-filled vacation that promises great fun for both adults and children alike.

While working at the Club Med Cherating in Malaysia, Ben also won the B-Best Award, which recognizes the property for highest revenue achieved amongst all the Clud Med Resorts in the world.

A native speaker of French, Arabic and Italian, Ben also converses fluently in English, Spanish and German. He now hopes to learn some Asian languages. Married with a Korean wife, Ben enjoys sports such as football and tennis, and is a big fan of Formula One racing. His favourite movie is the Italian film �Cinema Paradiso� and he is currently reading �The Secret� by Rhonda Byrne.

One of Ben�s most memorable on the job experiences was hosting Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, President of Indonesia, on a luxury yacht while working for Bounty Cruises in Bali last year.
