Hotel
.
September 26, 2007 - The Arlington Convention Center Development
Corporation (ACCDC) is seeking qualified firms to serve as the developer
to expand the Arlington Convention Center and develop a full-service hotel.

At present, plans include a full-service, national-branded hotel with 300 guest rooms fully integrated with the Convention Center. In addition to the hotel, 50,000 square feet of exhibition space and 10,000 square feet of divisible meeting rooms, plus sufficient parking is proposed for the Convention Center. Additional refinement to the proposed project may be added after completion of market research. HVS Convention, Sports & Entertainment Facilities Consulting (HVS) of Chicago, Illinois will assist with the project. The ACCDC will employ a three-step process for selecting the developer: · Step 1 Request for Qualifications to select qualified development teams as finalists · Step 2 Request for Development Proposals from the finalists · Step 3 If the project is feasible, and approved, negotiation with the development team will begin.
