Andres Araya Named Chief Operating Officer of Logan International Mexico

Will Oversee Development of Cabo San Cristobal Resort, Los Cabos

Los Cabos, Mexico, September 4, 2007 -  Logan International, the London-based international hotel and resort development company, has appointed Andres Araya the Chief Operating Officer of its newly established Mexico division, announced Managing Director Albert Maes.

As COO of Logan International Mexico, Mr. Araya will oversee the development of a blockbuster, ultra-luxurious resort project in the destination of Los Cabos. "Cabo San Cristobal Resort will establish a new international benchmark for the level of luxury it offers guests and the scale and scope of the facilities and amenities,"said Mr. Maes.

Mr. Araya is an accomplished hotelier with 22 years of worldwide experience in operating luxury properties. Prior to joining Logan International, he was Managing Director of Las Ventanas al Paradiso, A Rosewood Resort, the internationally acclaimed Five-Diamond resort in Los Cabos. While at Las Ventanas, he was named 'One of the Finest Hoteliers Worldwide of 2006' by The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences. Additional international hospitality experience includes holding senior management positions at the Ajman Kempinski Hotel & Resort, United Arab Emirates; Conrad Cairo Hotel & Casino, Cairo, Egypt; St. Regis Aspen, Aspen, Colorado; Sheraton Maria Isabel, Mexico City; and The Palace of the Lost City, Sun City, South Africa.

Cabo San Cristobal Resort will be an unparalleled and spectacular property comprising:  three Five-Star hotels with 130-150 keys each, signature golf course facilities, a village with 60 designer shops and restaurants and 450 condos, 180 beach villas, 408 golf villas, 860 resort apartments, America's Cup sailing boats, motor sports facilities, and special airport services with dedicated helicopter transfers and excursions.  Construction will start in 2008 and the first phase will open in December 2009.

Since it was established in 1972, Logan International has developed numerous hotels and resorts throughout Europe as well as in China and the Middle East.  Projects have included such Five-Star properties as the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendrome, a Hyatt Regency in Lisbon, and the Great Beijing Palace in Beijing. In addition to Cabo San Cristobal Resort, the company is currently developing a W-Golf Resort with 70 villas in Marrakech, Morocco, and a golf resort in Croatia with three Five-Star hotels.
