SEATTLE, Wash. – April 30, 2007 -- The Dow Hotel Company, LLC, (DHC) a hotel ownership investment and management company, today announced that it has promoted Randall M. King to corporate director of marketing & revenue development. In the newly created position, King will be responsible for marketing the company’s nationwide portfolio of upscale hotels through the industry’s rapidly expanding electronic distribution channels and revenue management, as well as hotel direct sales.
“Randall rounds out our senior operations management team, bringing more than 25 years of hands-on operations and marketing expertise,” said Murray Dow, president of The Dow Hotel Company. “Electronic marketing and revenue management are key elements in our overall marketing strategy, and his leadership is expected to have a long-term, strategic impact on our ability to enhance revenues and profits.”
King joined DHC in 2001 as general manager of the company’s Embassy Suites O’Hare-Rosemont, and was promoted to regional director of operations in 2003. Prior to DHC, he was general manager of The Nordic Hills Resort in Itasca, Ill. Previously, he was district director of sales & marketing for American General Hospitality, and director of sales and marketing for the 600-room Crowne Plaza Hotel, Los Angeles International Airport.
He began his career with Marriott Hotels in Santa Barbara, Calif. and has held various director of sales & marketing positions at major properties throughout California. A Michigan native, he holds a B.A. in business from Western Michigan University. He will relocate to Seattle in May.
