New Conference Center, Hotel, Infrastructure Improvements
Paying Big Dividends in Niagara Falls, New York
Convention Bookings, Hotel Room Nights, All Increase

May 2007 - Comprehensive renovations to hotel inventory combined with major infrastructure improvements in the downtown core are having the desired effects to the bottom line of Niagara Falls conference and tourism industry. Increased definite room nights for Niagara Falls, New York have risen by 20,000 compared to 2006 totals. Revenue also continues to rise, with events secured and hosted by The Conference Center Niagara Falls generating an additional 4.2 million dollars in bookings to area hotels compared to 2006 totals. "We're very pleased with the increase in bookings and expect this trend to continue as we use our management resources and network of contacts to promote the benefits of our state-of-the-art conference center," said William Jackson, Executive Vice President, Resorts & Conference Centers for Sentry Hospitality, facility management firm for The Conference Center Niagara Falls. 

The City of Niagara Falls and USA Niagara Development Corporation have provided the city of Niagara Falls, New York with sweeping changes to the landscape, and overall tourism product.

Recent Construction / Renovation
18.8 million dollar construction of the 116,000 square foot Conference Center Niagara Falls
3.7 million dollar streetscape and road reconstruction for Third Street. 
3.4 million dollar Old Falls Street reconstruction and streetscape project.

Private Developers Have Also Contributed
24.5 million dollar renovation of the former Holiday Inn Select to the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
2.5 million dollar renovation of the Sheraton Four Points Hotel.
Several other downtown hotels have upgraded their establishments as well.

The new $18.8 million Conference Center Niagara Falls is a state-of-the-art, 116,000 square foot exhibition and meeting facility located in the heart of downtown Niagara Falls, New York.  The center sits within a seven-minute walking radius of over 2,000 hotel rooms and a 140,000 square foot Las Vegas Style-Seneca Niagara Casino, and the renowned Falls themselves.

Besides attracting new customers, we are experiencing a larger percentage of repeat business," said Jennifer Noble, Director of Sales & Marketing for The Conference Center Niagara Falls. "This is primarily due to the desire of these organizations to meet in Niagara Falls and the fact that we have consistently maintained a 4.75 out of 5 points on our customer satisfaction rating since opening in May 2004. The booking pace at the Conference Center is up over 50% for 2008� Noble added.
