SEATTLE, Wash. � May 7, 2007 -- The Dow Hotel Company,
LLC, (DHC) a hotel ownership investment and management company, today announced
that it has promoted Lori Brooks to general manager of the company�s 272-room
Hilton Atlanta Northeast, owned by a joint venture between Boston-based
AEW Capital Management and The Dow Hotel Company.
�Lori has in-depth experience in both upscale, full-service hotels and the Atlanta market,� said Murray Dow, president of The Dow Hotel Company. �As a result, we expect her to have an immediate positive impact on the property.� Brooks joined the company in 2002 as resident manager of the company�s Sheraton North Houston Hotel and was promoted in 2003 to general manager of DHC�s Crowne Plaza Lake Oswego in the Portland, Ore. area. Prior to joining the company, she was general manager of the Radisson Northlake, Atlanta, Ga. In her twenty eight year career she has held a number of increasingly responsible operational positions with Marriot and Sheraton. Brooks is a Certified Rooms Division Executive (CRDE). She will relocate to the Atlanta area in early May. The Dow Hotel Company, headquartered in Seattle, is a hotel owner/investor and operator of first-class, full-service hotels with properties throughout the United States. Dow�s most recent acquisition, the Deerfield Marriott Suites, currently is undergoing a $5.5 million renovation of the hotel�s meeting space, lobby and 248 guests rooms and suites, which is scheduled for June 2007 completion. The company's portfolio of owned and managed properties is comprised of institutional grade hotels, under such brands as Marriott, Hilton, Embassy Suites, Sheraton, and Crowne Plaza. The company aggressively seeks to acquire, co-invest with joint venture partners and/or manage mid- to large-size, institutional-grade, full-service hotels, especially those that have extensive food and beverage capabilities. |
