KANSAS CITY, MO. (May 1, 2007) The InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza today announced that a $15 million total restoration of all guest rooms and public spaces is scheduled to begin July 10, 2007.  The transformation will be completed in November 2007 and will be a remodel of all 366 guest rooms and public spaces, including the Oak Room Restaurant, Oak Bar and the Lobby.

The InterContinental Kansas City will be completely refurbished to provide our guests with the very best in luxury accommodations, dining and entertainment, said Dean Chininis, InterContinentals General Manager. We are committed to restoring the great community feeling that this is Kansas Citys hotel.

The guest rooms will be completely refurbished with custom-designed furniture and luxurious guest room accessories.
