Rendezvous as Event Planning Beacon
York, NY (USA) – June 13, 2007 – NFS Hospitality Corporation, a supplier
of event management software to the conference center industry since
1997, has completed the phase two implementation of its Rendezvous
event management system to manage all aspects of the conference facilities
at Lighthouse International, located in the heart of Manhattan.
Founded in 1905, Lighthouse International (www.lighthouse.org) is a leading non-profit organization that helps people of all ages overcome the challenges of vision loss. Through services, education, research and advocacy, the Lighthouse enables people with low vision and blindness to enjoy safe, independent and productive lives.
Lighthouse Conference Center is managed by Marenzana Conference Services, who recently assumed full facility management of all food service and conference center activities. Within two weeks of managing the project, John Marenzana, President of Marenzana Group, began to introduce its customer-centric philosophy by utilizing Rendezvous to manage the booking of the extensive facilities. Marenzana Conference Services operates a busy conference center with a 265-seat theater, 15 meeting rooms and rehearsal space, hosting both in house and external events. A key objective for the Marenzana team is to further enhance the flexibility of the Rendezvous system so it can be utilized in our “operational concierge” model. “We were impressed by the capability to manage the database as the foundation - right from the beginning - without having to worry about merging disparate programs”, said Mr. Marenzana. “This is our second installation of Rendezvous in a conference center environment after extensive research.” Rendezvous tracks all inquiries, manage the sales contacts, easily coordinate A/V, food services, and other resources with seamless conversion into each contract within the event order system, all within the same database.
