Marco Perry Named Managing Director at San Ysidro Ranch,
A Rosewood Resort in Santa Barbara, California

Santa Barbara, California (June 7, 2007) Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, the premier manager of ultra-luxury hotels and resorts around the world, is pleased to announce the appointment of Marco Perry to the position of Managing Director at San Ysidro Ranch, A Rosewood Resort in Santa Barbara, California, effective May 14, 2007. Owned by Ty Warner Hotels & Resorts, LLC, San Ysidro Ranch has recently completed a stunning $150 million restoration that includes two renovated restaurants, enhanced grounds and an inspired redesign of all cottages.

A southern California native, Perry is an accomplished professional with nearly 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. His portfolio includes managerial roles at luxury metropolitan properties for Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and GHM Hotels in Miami Beach and New York, as well as extensive food and beverage experience in Europe. Perry joins San Ysidro Ranch from The Heritage House in Mendocino, where he served as general manager and directed the $20 million remodel of the hotel, which elevated its status to a five-star property. Fresh from The Heritage House's renovation, Perry brings his unique perspective to the most anticipated luxury hotel restoration in central California San Ysidro Ranch.

"Marco's California roots, international background and breadth of hospitality experience make him the ideal fit for San Ysidro Ranch and its guests," said Bob Boulogne, COO for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. "Marco has a passion for excellence and for providing guests with a truly personal experience. I am confident that Marco's leadership will ensure success for The Ranch in this next phase of its long and storied life."

Along with solid management and operational experience at established properties including The Mark in New York and Soho House New York, Perry has also served on the opening management teams of the Mandarin Oriental in New York, The Setai in Miami Beach and the Mandarin Oriental in Miami.

With a bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California, Perry's early beginnings in hospitality include his tenure as general manager of his family's boutique hotel and restaurant in the Bavarian Alps. Perry's international experience also includes overseeing the opening of Munich's first restaurant specializing in California cuisine and wine and the creation of a restaurant at historic Woburn Abbey in Woburn, England.

Since opening its doors in 1893, San Ysidro Ranch has remained an exclusive getaway for celebrities and world figures, including Winston Churchill and Audrey Hepburn, as well as John and Jackie Kennedy, who honeymooned at the Ranch in 1953. In 2000, the much lauded resort was purchased by Ty Warner Hotels & Resorts, LLC. The recently completed $150 million restoration includes updated restaurants, with inspired interior design in all the cottages and the refurbished Kennedy Cottage and Warner Cottage, formerly known as Eucalyptus.

San Ysidro Ranch is part of Ty Warner Hotels & Resorts, LLC, which was founded by entrepreneur Ty Warner, the multi-billionaire who is committed to making the best hotels, resorts and golf courses in the world even better.
