Escondido, CA (May 30, 2007)  Welk Resorts, a North County hospitality and entertainment landmark announced today Mark Ansteth has been promoted to Corporate Director of Marketing for the Welk Resorts.   

Mark's new role as Corporate Director of Marketing will oversee Operations Marketing for all Welk Resorts properties including Welk Resorts San Diego, Welk Resorts Desert Oasis, Palm Springs, Cathedral Canyon Golf & Tennis Club, Cathedral City, Welk Resorts Branson, Missouri. 

Prior to arriving at Welk Resorts, Mark was the Regional Director of Marketing/Corporate Director of Sales Operations for Gemstone Resorts Intl.  working with the Pala Mesa Resort, Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa, and the Westward Look Resort in Tucson, Arizona. 

He previously has held senior hotel sales and marketing positions with Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Scottsdale Princess Resort, Scottsdale, Arizona and Doubletree Golf and Tennis Resort in San Diego, to mention but a few.
