Huntington Hotel Group Nearing Completion of
Two Hotels at San Diegos Liberty Station

SAN DIEGO June 6, 2007 - Significant progress is being made at Huntington Hotel Groups 150-room Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel and 200-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel, joining the Liberty Station community at the corner of North Harbor Drive and Lanning Road.

These two hotels, designed by architects Awbrey Cook McGill, comprise 17.81 acres of Liberty Stations 37-acre hotel district. The hospitality district is one of the last major components to the hundreds of acres at Liberty Station already devoted to residential, office, retail, historic, arts and cultural, park and recreation space.

Construction began on these two hotels in July 2006. The Homewood Suites is scheduled to open in September 2007, and the Courtyard by Marriott in January 2008. Both the Homewood Suites by Hilton and the Courtyard by Marriott will architecturally integrate with surrounding historic buildings on the formal Naval Training Center.

The Liberty Station Hotel District also includes a 33,000 square-foot conference center, the historic USS Recruit, a land-based Naval training ship; and 24,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, known as Harbor Square. The 46-acre waterfront NTC Park sits just to the north of the hotel site. A third hotel is planned for a site across the water. Together, the three hotel properties are expected to generate $5.6 million in annual Transient Occupancy Taxes for the City of San Diego.

Huntington Hotel Group consists of numerous companies owned and controlled by principals Brent Andrus and Kevin Keefer with specific expertise in development, hotel operations, financial management, and construction management. In May 2003 and again in December 2004, Huntington was admitted to the prestigious Marriott Partnership Circle for demonstrating a deep commitment to Marriotts brands, business objectives, guest satisfaction and values.

Alex Brown Realty, a privately-owned real estate investment manager based in Baltimore MD, was also a joint venture equity partner in this project.

The 361-acre Liberty Station community, being jointly developed by the City of San Diego Redevelopment Agency and The Corky McMillin Companies, includes 125 acres of parks, open space and a boat channel; shopping villages and restaurants; a 28-acre civic, arts and cultural district; the nine-hole Sail Ho Golf Club; three hotels on two sites; and six schools. Nearly 350 families now reside at the pedestrian-friendly Liberty Station and dozens of companies, with hundreds of employees, are doing business there.
