Jackson-Shaw Company Planning Four Hotels in 2007, 
Including a 276 room Renaissance Hotel in Plano, Texas


 
Dallas � June 4, 2007 � Jackson-Shaw, a national, diversified real estate development and investment company, has announced plans to expand its hospitality portfolio with the development of four new hotel properties.  The company, which also specializes in land, office and industrial developments, will break ground this year on all of the hotels, three of which are located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and one in Jacksonville, Florida.

Jackson-Shaw will begin construction in June 2007 on two hotels located in the 100-acre, master planned community, Cascades at The Colony, in The Colony, Texas, a suburb of Dallas.  The four-story Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites will offer 104 guest rooms and a 7,540-square-foot event center, including a 3,325-square-foot ballroom.  The four-story Marriott Residence Inn will feature 102 guestrooms.  Both properties are scheduled to be completed in June 2008.

The Cascades at the Colony, a 100-acre, master-planned mixture of residential, flex, office, retail and hospitality. At the heart of the Cascade�s community is a two-acre public park, serving as the focal point of the Cascades. Situated between the North Dallas Tollway and Interstate 35, and at a major intersection of the newly improved Highway 121 Tollway from McKinney to the DFW Airport, this development is positioned to give tenants and residents easy access to almost anywhere in the Dallas Metroplex.

Jackson-Shaw will begin construction in September 2007 on a third Dallas-area property, a proposed Renaissance hotel located at the Shops at Legacy, an upscale retail and residential development in Plano, Texas.  The nine-story boutique hotel will feature 276 guestrooms, 16,000 square feet of meeting space, 10,000 square feet of retail and an 11,000-square-foot luxury spa.  The hotel is expected to be completed by the end of 2008. 
 
The fourth property, the eight-story Embassy Suites Jacksonville Airport, will feature 175 guestrooms and nearly 10,000 square feet of conference center meeting space.  Construction on this Jacksonville, Florida property will begin in July 2007, with an expected completion date of September 2008.
