Fleet with Wireless Internet Access
Washington, DC (June 18, 2007) -- Carey Houston, a member of the Carey International, Inc.'s global franchise system of chauffeured vehicle service companies, announced today that it is installing wireless internet equipment in its entire fleet of vehicles. All Carey Houston customers will now be able to access the Internet during trips through either a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. "This value-added service will be offered in all of our vehicles for no additional charge" said Thomas Nielsen , Carey Houston, General Manager. "We have been testing a variety of equipment and service providers for a period of time and feel we have selected the best possible combination to provide quality, speed and dependability to our customers" added Nielsen. The wireless service complements the "mobile office" capabilities found in all signature Carey Town Cars: a writing desk, cell phone, 110 volt outlet, satellite radio and extra power points. To provide customers with the in-car Internet service, Carey uses mobile cellular routers designed by WAAV, of Cambridge, MA. With WAAV routers, users are able to create their own mobile Wi-Fi hotspots at broadband speeds wherever they are, instead of depending on hotspots from "brick and mortar" locations such as airports, cafés or hotels.
