Lodge, A Rosewood Resort has named Robert Penman the new lodge manager
of the award-winning luxury lodge located in pristine wilderness in British
Columbia, announced President Michael Uehara.
Penman come to King Pacific Lodge with extensive experience in wilderness
resort and hospitality management as well as in food and beverage operations.
Most recently, for nine seasons he was general manager of the Clubhouse,
The West Coast Fishing Club's wilderness resort on Langara Island in the
Queen Charlotte Islands. Previous experience includes serving as
food & beverage director of The Aerie Resort, the Relais & Chateaux
property on Vancouver Island, and as executive chef of Paradise Island
Resort & Casino in the Bahamas.
King Pacific Lodge is a one-of-a-kind luxury floating wilderness lodge
anchored in a sheltered harbor along the shores of uninhabited Princess
Royal Island in the 4.4-million acre Great Bear Rainforest, a protected
area of British Columbia with the world's largest remaining tract of temperate
rainforest. It has 17 rooms and suites and is open from May through September.
