Greg Hanss Named Director of Sales and Marketing for the InterContinental
Montelucia Resort and Spa, Paradise Valley, Arizona

Paradise Valley, Ariz., - (March 22, 2007) – InterContinental Hotels Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Hanss as director of sales and marketing for the InterContinental Montelucia Resort and Spa, the brand’s newest property located in Paradise Valley, Arizona.

“In the many years that I have worked in the luxury resort market I have never seen such an extravagant resort,” said Greg Hanss, director of sales and marketing. “Having one-of-a-kind Spanish antiquities, such as the antique wooden doors on the wedding chapel, spread throughout the resort is an authentic touch guests will truly appreciate.”

With nearly 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Hanss brings significant knowledge of the Scottsdale luxury hotel market to his new role. Prior to joining InterContinental, the Phoenix native held various sales and marketing positions with some of Arizona’s top resorts. Hanss also spent time in Aspen, Colorado, where he helped transition the Ritz Carlton to The St. Regis.

Hanss has established himself as a specialist in new resort development openings and in December 1999 opened the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North. The Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale is a relaxing oasis located in the beautiful Sonoran Desert that embodies a true home away from home for those who know and appreciate the best. And in 1988, Hanss opened The Phoenician known as a luxurious oasis for relaxation, celebration and rejuvenation.

“Greg’s extensive knowledge and experience with local resorts is a strong asset to the opening of the InterContinental Montelucia Resort & Spa,” said Robert Flaxman, president of Crown Realty & Development Corporation, the developer of the property.

Hanss attended Brophy College Preparatory and graduated from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. He resides in central Phoenix with his wife and three children.

Nestled at the foot of Camelback Mountain, the InterContinental Montelucia Resort & Spa sits on 28 acres filled with the ambiance of Old World Spain. Set to open in early-2008, the resort will feature 293 hotel rooms and suites, a signature restaurant, 31,000 square-foot spa conceived by renowned spa designer Sylvia Sepielli, boutiques, private wedding villa and garden, wedding chapel and large indoor and outdoor meeting space.
