.
March 28, 2007 Miami Beach, FL: Boutique Hotels & Resorts International® - the global alliance of genuine boutique hotels and resorts - has appointed David Moth as Senior Vice President of Marketing.

We are pleased to welcome David Moth to the Boutique team. His experience in marketing, sales and operations of boutique hotels makes him perfect for this role. said Martin Buehler, founder and Chairman of Boutique Hotels & Resorts International®. His career has taken him around the world, and he has an intricate understanding of the sales and marketing needs of boutique hotels in a rapidly changing environment, Buehler added.

Moth has served as Executive Vice President of Distinguished Hotels International where he was responsible for global branding as well as marketing, sales and development for the Americas. He also served as Director of Meetings for the Caribbean Hotel Association managing and marketing all trade, consumer and membership meetings and conventions.

David Moth started his hotel career in Sydney, Australia, and then moved to the UK after graduating college with a degree in Business Management. David has been General Manager of the Tides Hotel and the Sagamore Hotel both in Miami Beach, Florida; Malmaison Glasgow in Scotland, and Nisbet Plantation in Nevis. He has also held senior management positions at several other renowned boutique hotels and resorts including Necker Island and Little Dix Bay both in the British Virgin Islands; Jalousie Plantation Resort and Spa in St. Lucia; and Cuisinart Resort & Spa in Anguilla.

I am delighted to be joining Boutique Hotels and Resorts at this time said newly-appointed David Moth, Senior Vice President, Marketing. Boutique has an outstanding collection of genuine boutique hotel gems, and I am looking forward to developing new programs and initiatives to generate increased awareness, reservations and benefits for our member hotels, and help expand our hotel and resort portfolio. These are challenging times for independent properties, and Boutique can help our hotels and resorts gain that competitive edge.

When asked about the key advantages of affiliating with Boutique, Moth replied: We truly understand the challenges boutique hotel operators and owners face. Technology continues to advance rapidly; consumer groups and their search, selection and buying behavior is changing; and major chains continue to launch their own sub-brands. Bottom line, though, is all in the name. Our member hotels can legitimately call themselves Boutique.

David Moth will be based at Boutique Hotels and Resorts International® US headquarters: 1111 Lincoln Road, Suite 400, Miami Beach, FL, 33139. Tel: 800-577-9449 x 806. Email: [email protected]
