Peninsula Hotels Implements Unique
Nirvana Technology Gift Certificates
Atlanta, Georgia, January 18th, 2007:  Peninsula Hotels worldwide today announced that it has successfully implemented a unique Internet-based gift certificate program permitting ordering of gift certificates from any location for any property in any currency, all simplified into a quick entry on the Peninsula Hotels corporate web site. The ground-breaking financial and technology program was created by Nirvana Technology, Inc. of Atlanta Georgia.  

The Peninsula Group also opted to have Nirvana Technology act as the merchant of record, securing the online transactions and freeing up The Peninsula back-office staff from any additional administrative overhead.  With this choice, Nirvana accounts for all credit card payments for certificates each week with an automated report to each property together with a wire transfer of funds to foreign properties and an ACH (Automated clearing house) funds transfer to domestic properties, all as part of the smooth process from order through payment.

The seamless integration of Nirvana’s hosted gift certificate system provides Peninsula with a large array of gift certificate sales and foreign currency display options.  Peninsula has chosen to offer one very flexible gift certificate for each property with a variety of pre-defined prices and an option for the customer to define their own price.  Customers may purchase an unlimited number of gift certificates within one transaction and one credit card payment.  All purchases are followed up with an automatic e-mail confirmation formatted with The Peninsula Hotels images and links for up-sell opportunities.
