HOUSTON,
TX. (January 2, 2007) . . . Houston hotelier Nick Massad Jr., President
of American Liberty Hospitality, has been presented with a Lifetime Achievement
Award from the University of Houston's Conrad N. Hilton College Alumni
Association and the Hotel & Lodging Association of Greater Houston.
The award is presented to a graduate or honorary alumnus who has shown long-term/lifetime support of the Conrad N. Hilton College. A 1973 graduate of the College, Massad has funded scholarships, conducted mentorship and job training programs for students and participated in a number of fundraising programs. He also has served as Chairman of the College's Dean's Industry Advisory Council In 1993, Massad was awarded the Founding Dean's Award, distinguishing him as an outstanding alumnus of the College. In 2003, he was chosen to be the Eric Hilton Chair Distinguished Lecturer, and currently serves as that group's Chairman until April, 2007. This year, Massad presented the commencement address to the graduates of the Conrad N. Hilton College. Today, Massad is President of American Liberty Hospitality, one of Texas'
most successful independent hotel management and investment companies with
an extensive portfolio of operating properties throughout the Southwest.
