Professionals (HFTP) announced that Michael Levie, CEO of Onestarisborn
(OSIB) will give the Opening Session Presentation at the European Hospitality
Technology Education Conference (EHTEC) on February 19, 2007 at the Hilton
Amsterdam in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Michael Levie's general session "What Individual Hotel Operators and CEOs Expect in Terms of I.T., Now and In The Future" will explore the territory of hotel technology needs from a hardware and software point of view and detect some trends. Levie's session will also launch dialogue to work towards a future where hotel technology becomes part of the hotelier's vocabulary. "Mr. Levie is a valuable addition to the education program at EHTEC," said Frank Wolfe, CAE, HFTP CEO and executive vice president. "He has a strong understanding of current hospitality technology and the industry's prevailing trends." Levie is the owner of OSIB Financial Holding B.V., which is partner in a new start-up hotel chain Onestarisborn. The hotels will introduce an innovative lifestyle hotel concept that utilizes space, service and facilities for the price conscious business and leisure traveler. OSIB is planning a rapid expansion in Europe, starting with two hotel openings in Amsterdam during 2007, including a 220-room hotel at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Levie's international hospitality experience includes assisting in the opening of the SynXis European office and technology positions at various hotel chains, including Sonesta International Hotels Corporation and NH Hotels. EHTEC, being held February 18 - 20, will be an intimate gathering of the EU's top hospitality professionals and will offer European hospitality professionals a first-rate educational program.
