FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA, January 20, 2007 The highly anticipated Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort officially opened today as an all-suite landmark property located on the shoreline of Fort Lauderdales exclusive North Beach. General Manager Andreas A. Ioannou, an 18-year veteran with Hilton Hotels Corporation, welcomed Broward County Mayor Josephus Eggelletion, Jr., City of Fort Lauderdale Mayor Jim Naugle, Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau President Nikki Grossman, Hilton Hotels Corporation executives, marketing partners and the media for the intimate ribbon cutting ceremony.

Today is an important day for both Hilton and Fort Lauderdale as a destination, said Ioannou.  We are one of the first new properties to open in this burgeoning beachfront community and will attract discerning travelers from all over the globe.  And while location is important, what sets the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort apart is a commitment to ensuring that our services are customized to the personal desires of each guest.

Guests staying at the spectacular 25-story property can be met at the Fort Lauderdale Airport by a private chauffeur in a luxury automobile equipped with bottled water and remote check-in services.  Young travelers can delight in being greeted by their own childrens concierge and introduced to the resorts innovative Ocean Explorers program, offering a bevy of activities at the resort and throughout the local community.

The resort features 373 elegantly appointed, designer-furnished ocean view studios, one, two and three-bedroom suites.  Each feature bathrooms with separate showers and European soaking tubs with whirlpool jets, high definition flat-screen televisions and private ocean view balconies offering expansive views of the Atlantic.  Each suite is also outfitted with the Hilton Serenity Collection® of luxurious in-room amenities.  The Hilton Serenity Bed features the Serta Suite Dreams® mattress and box springs, Pacific Coast® down duvet, Super Topper mattress pads, and high-quality linens and pillows.

The Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort offers a grocery concierge who guarantees that every suites kitchen is well stocked to handle any craving throughout each guests stay.  Those enjoying a romantic getaway may prefer wine & cheese and champagne, while families may count on peanut butter & jelly, juice boxes and fresh fruit as their weekly staples.

The resorts commitment to personal service can also be experienced on the 25,000-sq.-ft. Sunrise Terrace, featuring a zero-entry pool and private sunning cabanas.  Scented towels and bottles of chilled water are offered to all guests.  Servers discreetly transmit orders to the kitchen with a wireless device to ensure prompt service.  Just across North Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, guests can find a beach concierge offering chaise lounge chairs, umbrellas, towels, private cabanas, food & beverage service (also through the wireless waiter system).  The concierge can also provide recommendations about activities like scuba diving or beach fitness aerobics classes.

The resort will offer three distinct dining options, including ilios- an upscale signature restaurant of contemporary Mediterranean cuisine with a tropical poolside setting.  Coming soon is Le Marché, a gourmet neighborhood market specializing in fresh baked goods, hand-made pizzas and paninis baked in an authentic wood burning oven, fresh tropical-inspired salads and sandwiches and the coolest beverages on the beachwalk.  Also, Fort Lauderdales newest spa, Spa Q, will be available to resort guests as a full-service facility offering indoor and outdoor treatments as well as a sophisticated oceanview fitness center with the latest Precor equipment.
