 LIVINGSTON,
N.J., Jan. 5, 2007 � Joseph M. Reyes has been named general manager of
the award-winning Westminster Hotel in Livingston, N.J. The appointment
was announced by Kevin Swill, director of the Westminster Hospitality Group,
an affiliate of the Kushner Companies real estate organization, which owns
and manages the property.
Reyes, a resident of Manhattan, most recently served as general manager of the Shoreham, an upscale boutique hotel in New York City. He has been in the hospitality industry for more than 12 years, working both in sales and management. Other assignments have included a position as general manager of the Casablanca Hotel in New York, regional director of sales for Pan Pacific Hotels & Resorts, and director of corporate sales for Le Parker Meridian and Regal U.N. Plaza hotels in New York. �Joe has gained a reputation within the hotel field for his remarkable ability to increase revenues and occupancy within a short period of time. He has demonstrated his commitment to quality operations not only through managerial leadership, but also through personal involvement,� noted Swill. �We are very happy to have him here at the Westminster Hotel.� Westminster Hotel has received numerous honors since it opened in 2002, including the prestigious AAA Four-Diamond award, placing it among the eight top-rated hotels in the state. It was named Facility of the Year by Meeting Planners International (MPI), New Jersey chapter, and received first-place honors in Lodging Hospitality magazine�s Annual Design Competition. Westminster Hotel was honored even further last year by being named part of WORLDHOTELS� Deluxe Collection, a distinction shared by only 170 elite, independently owned properties worldwide. In his new position, Reyes oversees the hotel�s 183 luxury guest rooms, 15,000 square feet of banquet and conference space, 120-seat restaurant and a full range of first-class amenities that cater to the unique needs of today�s traveler.
