Managing Director, India
New York, New York – January 18, 2007 – Rob Koger, President of Molinaro Koger, announced today that Abhijit “Beej” Das, an accomplished hospitality transactional executive, has joined the firm as a Managing Director, India. He is currently based in New York, and will open the company’s offices in Mumbai in the first quarter of 2007.
Mr. Das' hospitality expertise spans more than 15 years; during which time he has crafted transactions in the U.S. and internationally totaling more than $2 billion in value.
“Beej’s global experience, expertise in structuring hotel transactions, from development to disposition, and depth of contacts in India, optimally position him to expand MK’s array of services throughout the Subcontinent,” stated Mr. Koger in making the announcement.
“We are pleased to welcome Beej to MK,” continued Mr. Koger. “I have
no doubt that his presence on our team will deliver our clients access
to India’s compelling hospitality investment opportunities.”
Immediately prior to joining Molinaro Koger, Mr. Das served in the Hospitality and Recreation Group at the Boston office of Goulston & Storrs. While there he represented institutional, public and private high net worth individuals in a variety of hospitality transactions and matters. As Outside General Counsel to Priya Hospitality LLC, a start-up hotel developer focused on lifestyle assets, Mr. Das directed cross-border hotel transactions in India.
Mr. Das believes Molinaro Koger provides him the ideal platform upon which to leverage his unique skills and breadth of contacts throughout India.
“India is viewed at the world’s current gold rush. Opportunities in India for lucrative hotel investment appear limitless, but clearly require public and private sector contacts as well as savvy hospitality guidance,” commented Mr. Das.
“Molinaro Koger will now be top of mind for investors seeking to effectively develop, build, or invest in hospitality in India,” affirmed Mr. Das. “I am pleased to join the firm’s top-notch team whose investment outcomes delivery has established MK as the globe’s leading hospitality-specific advisory, brokerage and capital source.”
