| (MIAMI, February 5, 2007) � Karisma Hotels and Resorts, the premier
luxury hotel group in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, is pleased to announce
the appointment of José Carrasco to the position of Director of
Operations. With over 24 years experience in the hotel industry, Carrasco
has been instrumental in the successful operation of five-star resorts
throughout the Caribbean. In his new role, Carrasco will provide
operational leadership and new business development for Karisma�s Azul
Brand Hotels: Azul Blue Hotel + Spa by Karisma and Azul Beach Hotel by
Karisma.
Previously, Carrasco was Managing Director of Operations for Sol Melia Hotels & Resorts (Paradisus Puerto Rico, Hotel Melia Caribe Tropical) and AM Resorts (Secrets Excellence Riviera Cancun, Sunscape the Beach). He has also held key management and executive positions in the hospitality industry, including General Manager of resorts in Mexico, Guatemala, St. Kitts, Spain and the Dominican Republic. Carrasco received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality from Trinity College and University in Delaware.
