Charles Bello Named Director of Group Sales
for InterContinental San Francisco
San Francisco February 2007: The InterContinental Hotels Group has appointed Charles Bello as Director of Group Sales for the new InterContinental San Francisco currently under construction adjacent to the Moscone Convention Center on Howard and 5th. Charles was most recently Director of Group Sales for the InterContinental Mark Hopkins. Originally from a small town outside of Boston, MA, he has over 11 years of selling experience in the hotel industry, 6 of which have been here in San Francisco, with properties including the Hilton San Francisco and the Hiltons of Washington, DC. He graduated from University of New Hampshire with a degree in Hospitality Management. The InterContinental San Francisco is located on Howard and 5th, next to Moscone West. Upon completion, the hotel will tower 32 stories above the heart of the City. Scheduled to open in January 2008 , it will feature 550 rooms, 14 suites, 43 ,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space with natural light, a ten-room treatment spa, full-service fitness center, and an indoor pool.
