|WESTON, Fla. – February 20, 2007 – The Hyatt Regency Bonaventure
Conference Center & Spa in Weston, Florida (just west of Fort Lauderdale)
celebrates its grand opening this Thursday, February 22, 2007 with a lavish
event to officially launch the new hotel. All aspects of a $100 million
renovation of the hotel are now fully complete including 501 British Colonial-style
guestrooms, extensive meeting space, two elegant restaurants, two cafés,
a chic lobby bar and the addition of a Red Door Lifestyle Spa, Elizabeth
Arden, the only destination lifestyle spa in the Red Door portfolio.
“The Hyatt Regency Bonaventure sets a new standard for business and
leisure travel, as well as meetings and conventions venues in South Florida,”
said General Manager Fred Euler. “We have put meticulous care into
ensuring that every aspect of the hotel exceeds the expectations of the
most discriminating guests. From our unique menu selections and cutting-edge
food and beverage presentations to the thoughtful layout of the furniture
in the guestrooms, this hotel is a superb addition to the Hyatt portfolio.”
The property started its $100 million renovation two years ago, while Hyatt Hotels Corporation assumed management in September 2006 and immediately began transforming the entire property into one of South Florida’s premier destinations for both business gatherings and lifestyle retreats. The conference center now boasts 50,000 square feet of pre-function and outdoor event space and 50,000 of meeting space, which includes three ballrooms that can accommodate 2000 attendees, an amphitheater, three executive boardrooms, nine additional conference rooms and 21 breakout rooms.
Additionally, guests can enjoy the hotel’s four swimming pools, two neighboring 18-hole PGA championship courses and 15 clay tennis courts, as well as nearby activities such as deep-sea fishing, Everglades airboat rides, upscale shopping at Sawgrass Mills Mall or on Las Olas Boulevard and Fort Lauderdale’s world-class beaches and nightlife.
The 48,000 square foot Red Door Lifestyle Spa, Elizabeth Arden is designed as a destination where people can spend anywhere from a day or two to an entire week. The mission is to provide guests with balance for the inner-self through nurturing spa treatments, health-restoring activities and lifestyle-balancing classes. Additionally, the spa offers a complete menu of salon and spa services, from signature skincare, massage and body treatments to nail services, hair design, makeup artistry and more.
