SynXis
Adds HotelReservations.travel to the
Channel ConnectSM Distribution Channel .> European Travel Site gives RedX properties exposure to travelers worldwide |
SOUTHLAKE, Texas, 25 October SynXis, the Sabre
Holdings (NYSE:TSG) business that provides reservation management, distribution
and technology services for hotels around the world, announced today they
have developed a direct connection to the European hotel travel site, HotelReservations.travel
using their Channel Connect interface. This addition to their growing
list of direct connections gives all European properties using the RedX
Distribution Management System an easy, cost-effective way to gain exposure
to travelers around the world. Channel Connect integrates RedX
directly to third party travel sites as well as custom-built booking engines.
Channel Connect enables hotels to better differentiate their products by
providing information such as detailed stay policies and child pricing
directly to retail points of sales.
HotelReservations.travel began two years ago with the single goal of serving the needs of the internet traveler. They currently offer access to hotels across Europe. HotelReservations.travel developed the interface using the Channel Connect standard XML specification. Now, any property in Europe using RedX can sign up to be distributed on this multi-lingual travel site and benefit by gaining incremental bookings via increased worldwide exposure. After having experienced the pros and cons of consumer travel sites, we decided to design a brand new website which has been inspired by the needs of today's traveler with a user friendly booking engine and individual hotel information constructed for the individual and frequent traveler, commented Danny Scholtens Sales Manager of HotelReservations.travel. Using SynXis Channel Connect means thousands of properties can now be distributed on our site with no extra set up costs, no extranet to manage, and reservations are delivered electronically instead of via fax. We are excited to add HotelReservations.travel to our growing list of Channel Connect sites, said Scott Alvis, President and General Manager of SynXis. They have been very proactive in promoting their site and this gives our properties a cost effective way to drive more distribution. For more information about the website, visit
