Joie de Vivre Hospitality Selects MICROS OPERA
as Corporate Standard
COLUMBIA, Md., Nov. 13, 2006 - MICROS Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, is pleased to announce that Joie de Vivre Hospitality, California's largest boutique hotelier, has chosen to standardize the technology in its properties with the MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution.  The solution includes OPERA Property Management, OPERA Sales & Catering, and OPERA Customer Information System, all running on a multi-property platform with a single database that is centrally hosted.

As a result of the tremendous growth Joie de Vivre Hospitality has enjoyed in the last few years, the technological requirements of its properties have significantly expanded.  Implementing a multi-property system environment will bring numerous advantages to its properties which are in some cases located within walking distance from each other.  With centralized guest history, and agents able to book reservations across all properties, Joie de Vivre Hospitality intends to perfect the guest experience.  Once full solution deployment is complete, the single database will house all Joie de Vivre properties for OPERA Property Management, OPERA Customer Information, and OPERA Sales and Catering at selected properties.

"OPERA provides us with the opportunity to capitalize on the benefits of true centrally hosted, multi-property solution, allowing us to know more about our guests and business than ever before," stated Michael Stano, Director of IT, Joie de Vivre. "Not only are we saving money on additional hardware and interface costs through consolidating PMS and Sales & Catering, the scalability of the OPERA solution is perfect for all of our properties, from 50 rooms to 250 rooms."

Joie de Vivre's singular goal is to create landmark destinations full of soul and personality.  To reach that goal, Joie de Vivre Hospitality focuses on providing outstanding service and establishes an emotional connection with its loyal, long-term clientele.

Fred de Stefano, COO of Joie de Vivre commented, "With OPERA we will control our guest loyalty program and eliminate the need to outsource it. The OPERA Customer Information System provides us additional marketing functionalities and the technology we need to meet the expectations of our clientele."

"We are pleased Joie de Vivre Hospitality has selected OPERA as its corporate standard," stated Jackie Carey, Vice President Hotel Sales, Western Region, MICROS. "Our solid partnership with hotel companies with both large and small properties such as Joie de Vivre Hospitality underscores our commitment to provide bundled solutions to all segments of the vibrant hotel marketplace."
